HR 4980 passed the Senate yesterday, 9/18/14, by unanimous consent with no amendments.
This legislation is needed to implement the Hague Convention on International Child Support Recovery and requires all states to adopt UIFSA 2008 within 2 years. It is awaiting the President’s signature.
This is great news for the child support community and those of us who work intergovernmental cases.
