More than 60 percent of child support collections come through the wage withholding process. As such, employers are an important element of any child support initiative. The American Payroll Association represents more than 20,000 individuals and companies. APA members pay millions of workers. As such, they can be of enormous help in ensuring that a state’s child support wage withholding initiative is working properly.
